Time.com's 50 Coolest Sites List for 2006

Every year Time Inc. puts out their 50 coolest sites of the year. The list for 2006 has been released and is on their website http://www.time.com/time/2006/50coolest/index.html.

The list is broken into categories:

Some of the sites, such as YouTube, Digg, and MySpace were expected to be on the list while other sites like Blurb are relatively unknown yet just as cool. (see http://www.blurb.com/create/book).

It's also fun to go back to the previous year's lists and see how opinions and trends have changed and if the websites listed are still working or not (a few are now closed).
